Screaming Yellow

I'm currently obsessed with neon colors. I used to hoard (yes, I'm a pack rat) dark and edgy pieces. I think it was last year that I really put on my "grunge/goth mode" on full boost with dark make-up everyday.

I was hesitant with neon colors at first because it might clash with my skin tone but I was really up to the challenge. After hours and hours of thinking, here's my take on neon madness!

Even my mom noticed my change of style. She said that I'm starting to "embrace my femininity", as she dramatically puts it. Fashion will always be an evolution of style and I wouldn't want to be tied in just one  predictable style.

Since I was running late (as usual), I did not have much time to think on my accessories and just piled up on some bangles for that boho vibe. I also brought my sunnies to cover my barely made up face.
What's so interesting about this cardigan/cover up/ whatever you call this is that when you zip it up, VIOLA! It becomes a dress. I also love the back part because it looks like I'm wearing a floral cape! BTW,it's another ukay find. My grandma gave me this black sleeveless top two years ago. The shorts, well, my mama DIY-ed it. It used to be her old pair of jeans way back in college. My mama is a DIY goddess when it comes to clothes. When she gets bored. she'll just rummage through her old baul and make some interesting outfit  :D

As you've noticed, these shots were taken again in our windy school parking lot and my hair just kept on sticking out. ;P
Thank you again to my 'ambush photographers', Casey and Aeda for these shots! Sa uulitin! he he.

Pastels Screaming

At last! I finally had the time to squeeze for a new post. I had to study for my exams. As much as I don't like reading books (LAW books! Imagine that!), I have to pass those exams for my beloved parents.

Anyway, I wore this outfit during UP Cookout '12 (FYI, UP Cookout is the biggest event here in our school). I just wanted to share this because it was my first time wearing pastel colors. I usually wear black, red and neutral colors. I was feeling super feminine that day. ;)

I had to do all the make-up of the Sayawan contestants and unexpectedly also the Kantahan contestant and her back-up dancers for Communicators of UP. My call time was at 3:00 pm and that's why I had to ask my classmate Telay to do a quick outfit shoot for me since I'll be busy the whole night.

Shorts: Jay Jacobs Shoes: Converse Top: vintage Jacket: Thrifted Accessories: Lianne

I have always been and always will be a sneakers person. The comfort they give to feet especially to flighty ones like me are just way beyond words.

I got this beautiful floral denim jacket from my favorite ukay-ukay store! (Fashion need not to be expensive: That's my fashion mantra) The dainty yellow top and high-waist shorts are both vintage. I got these from my mama's treasure chest (as what I call since I find a lot of interesting clothes in it)

Even my accessories, I picked the 'girly-girl' ones to match my feminine ensemble. My sister and I bought the  same heart-shaped ring but with different colors. Of course, my pink feather and tassel earring completed my dainty and girly look.

I don't usually wear these colors but it would be pretty boring if I keep on wearing my black-red and neutral color combination. Fashion is all about experimentation. What do you think about my super feminine look? :D

P.S.

As I was writing this post, I was listening to Lady Antebellum's "The Woman Makes The Man" (Hello, feminist in me!). Just want to spread my feminist powers to all the ladies!

Free Like You Make Me

After weeks of hiatus, I finally had the chance to post again. I feel happy that the weather is starting to improve. (Don't forget to lend a hand or donate to those who got affected by the recent storm. Bangon Pilipinas!)

Moving on to my outfit, I decided to wear something formal because I had a report to do. Everytime I have a report, I make sure I look good so that I will feel confident when I talk in front of the class. Unfortunately, I overslept and woke up late!

My photographer-friend Casey took these shots right after our class. If you noticed we shot it in the parking lot of our school. (Imagine the ninja moves I made when people started staring at us! :D)
These are my favorite SO! F.A.B. pumps. They match almost every outfit I want to wear! Since I can;t walk with these killer heels the whole day, I brought my flat sandals with me.
I just bought the gold ring (or the 'daylight ring' as what my friends call it) and the bracelets from my friend Lianne. We'll be putting up an online store soon so watch out for it!
When I'm running late, I just use this formula-- White + strong color + heels= Outfit of the day!
